After sending models and drawings down to the engineering department, of the parts I needed in aluminium, I received the top and bottom caps back in just over a week.
I’m extremely please with the look, size and feel of these parts. I’ll be testing various finishes on aluminium to make sure I can get the right one for these parts before the project is over. First I’ll have to cut some holes into the top part for the buttons and dials but I’ll need to finish the gauge first so I can position them accurately. I’m still waiting on the microphone housing parts so until then I’ll continue working on the gauge and hopefully work out how the sound horn should be finished, although I already have an idea for it.
